Broadway.com names 'Hasa Diga Eebowai' one of this... →
The first of many jaw-dropping moments in the smash hit The Book of Mormon came early in Act One when the Ugandan villagers taught the visiting Mormon missionaries their life-affirming phrase, “Hasa Diga Eebowai.” This catchy spoof on The Lion King’s “Hakuna Matata” may not have been family-friendly, but it certainly was hilarious and set the tone for the rest of the show’s...

Cast Answers: Favourite thing about the holidays?
Rory O'Malley: John Denver and the Muppets' Christmas album!
Josh Gad: My favorite thing about the holidays is the transformation everything goes through. It is magical to see a city like NY suddenly become a winter wonderland full of lights, Christmas trees, and beautiful window displays.
Nikki M. James: My favorite thing about the holidays is getting to spend time with my family. Over the years our traditions have changed and we've lost and gained members of our family. The one thing that has stayed the same is that we each make is a priority to be together. In a time where we can all get so busy and caught up in our own lives its good to have even one day to slow down. Plus, my two year old nephew makes everything just a little more fun!
Andrew Rannells: It provides you with a great excuse to start drinking in the morning. Mimosas and screwdrivers are perfectly acceptable at 10AM on Christmas morning.

PLAYBILL PICKS: Ten "Glee" Actors We'd Like to...
Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel): Colfer’s tap dancing performance in the Dec. 13 “Glee” Christmas special sealed the deal that he should eventually perform Elder McKinley’s “Turn it Off” in the Broadway hit The Book of Mormon. Colfer, who comes equipped with a sky-high vocal range and spot-on comic timing, would work well in Mormon (if and when Tony nominee Rory O’Malley leaves for a future...

Associated Press names The Book of Mormon the best...
“The Book of Mormon”: Does this need explanation? It’s smart and reverential and completely winning, Tony Awards included. (Plus, the show sells a pair of boxers that say “I Have Maggots in My Scrotum.”) This is pure gold for Broadway, but it will take plenty of that precious metal to pay for a pair of tickets for a Saturday night performance, even for next May.
